GHRF Technology Innovations
Resource Tracker
This technology uses SMS and geotracking to track (non-patient identified) information on location of patients with HIV, Malaria and Tuberculoses, particularly post-disaster, so that medical and other resources can be targeted to the areas where help is needed.
Asthma Tracker
The Asthma Tracker is created for the Central Valley Asthma Project, to be used on the Ipad, Iphone or Itouch, to allow Asthma Educators, Health Educators and other health providers to interface with the disease registries. These are designed to be HIPPA compliant. The data is harvested into platform-agnostic database files.
This is a mockup of one of several interfaces for health workers and educators.
Tricorder Project
This integrated mobile health worker device combines a biometric patient identifier, geotracking technology, and diagnostics for key communicable diseases (HIV, Malaria Tuberculosis and complete blood count) to enable health workers to bring the clinic out to the village. The components of this technology are interchangeable so that culturally or situationally specific alterations can be easily made. Education modules and instructions specific to each patient or disease will be accessible through the device. Developments to the unit include secure networking to allow virtual access to remote physicians and specialists.
Geomapping of Disease
GHRF led geomapping of disease innovations presentation from the Where 2.0 Conference, given on April 1, 2010 by Bess Ho PhD, MEng in collaboration with GHRF.
